The module is designed for newly appointed managers or those with 12-18 months management experience who have not had previous management training. The aim of the module will be to equip participants with an understanding of key people management policies and procedures and the skills to manage people effectively. The emphasis of the module will be on real behaviour change and being able to do things differently in ways that helps get the best out of people. Practical and experiential learning will be underpinned by an understanding and critical evaluation of management, change and strategy models that participants will be encouraged to apply to their organisation.
