Academic Writing at pre-intermediate level (CEFR Level B1, IELTS 4.5) is designed for non-native speakers of English. The module aims to enable students to write basic academic essays. The module covers descriptive, compare and contrast, argument and discussion essays, and develops the micro-skills necessary for these: brainstorming, planning, pre-writing, text organisation, proof-reading, editing and rewriting.
