Browse Hierarchy SWRK5002: Mental Health for Social Workers
On a daily basis, in every field of service, Social Workers interface with individuals and families challenged by Mental Health Disorders. This module will introduce students to the models, theories, legislation, research and practice, which provide the context for current mental health services. Students will be encouraged to develop the skills required for them to locate and critically evaluate current research on mental health so they can be 'evidence informed practitioners', wherever and whenever, their social work practice takes them.
