Browse Hierarchy SWRK5001: Social Work with Adults

This module offered in the second year to inform and support the student in preparation for practice with the most vulnerable adults in society. It will focus on social work practice from statutory and independent sector perspectives. It will consider the research evidence of best practice in assessment and methods of interventions for different adult groups. Demographics and personal experiences of different adult groups will be covered to contextualise and better inform practice. The module builds on students existing knowledge acquired from first year modules, in particular, Social Policy, Law, Fit for Practice and Human Growth and Development.
