This unit will also enable students to assess the role of the coach / teacher / instructor in the duty of care of sports participants. At the completion of this unit students should be able to develop an understanding of emerging issues and pressures experienced by those with responsibility for learners such as the coach, teacher and exercise specialist, to identify the key issues contributing to ethical and safe practice and to demonstrate they can implement safe and effective practice when working with the athlete/learner.
