This module aims to separate students' understanding of universal programming concepts from their understanding of any particular language, and to enable students to easily adapt to the use of different programming languages. As part of this, the module aims to ensure students are familiar with the programming languages they will need for the remainder of their MSc course. The module also aims to teach universal programming concepts such as programming paradigms design strategies, development environments and testing.
