These modules provide the opportunity for independent research under supervision. Students choose a dissertation topic under advice from staff in the Sociology Field. Although students are encouraged to employ the research skills they acquired from the Research Methods modules, it is not a formal requirement that students have to conduct primary data collection for their dissertations.
