Browse Hierarchy SOCI6007: Sociology Interdisciplinary Dissertation
These modules provide the opportunity for independent research under supervision. Students choose a dissertation topic combining both field's knowledge and disciplinary skills under the advice from staff in the Sociology field and in their other field. Interdisciplinary Dissertation students will have two supervisors, one from each field. Although students are encouraged to employ the research skills they acquired from the Research Methods modules, it is not a formal requirement that students have to conduct primary data collection for their dissertations. Students taking this module must also register for the interdisciplinary module in their other field.
