This module sets out to deal with planning and development issues of interest to the Chartered Surveyor and related professionals. As well as covering issues pertaining to the basis of the planning system and development appraisal, the module takes as a focus the current debate in England and Wales regarding the implementation of urban renewal and renaissance. Study material is introduced to direct the student towards detailed reflection on the importance of this new policy agenda and topical debate within the system.
