This module provides both an in-depth and practical examination of the magazine publishing industry, both nationally and internationally. This module aims to provide a comprehensive insight and understanding of the magazine industry as a whole and its place within publishing media as both a print and electronic product. It covers a range of contemporary issues and business models through lectures, visiting speakers, seminars and workshops. As well as exploring the job roles involved in the production of magazines, the module will address issues of editorial content, marketing, branding, technology, law, and design.
