Browse Hierarchy PTE6011: Dissertation

This module involves the in-depth study of a chosen area of education. It introduces you to research paradigms used within educational and social science research and enables you to develop specific personal interest, understanding and expertise through a small scale research project. You will have the opportunity to appraise the suitability of different research tools (interviewing, observation, questionnaires etc) to provide appropriate data for analysis of your chosen research question. Consideration will be given to aspects of reliability, validity and ethical issues.
