This module further develops your skills, knowledge and understanding for teaching children with a diversity of needs within an inclusive classroom setting. This includes children and young people with a broad range of Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities including Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs. You will investigate in depth and be able to recognise and develop appropriate strategies for supporting individual differences, particularly those with high incidence SENDs. This module prepares you to develop inclusive pedagogy and practice so that you have the opportunity to develop into an outstanding practitioner, providing you with the skills that will prepare you for teaching in a special school/setting and/or lead to you taking responsibility for becoming a Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) or Inclusion Coordinator (INCO) in a mainstream school.
