The following module examines the nature of, and approaches to, regional and strategic planning. It will focus on change, the regulation of change and its management through regional planning. A special consideration of this focus will further examine the nature of rural areas and their governance, examining countryside functions and its interrelationship with contemporary rural communities in Britain.
