This module develops the detailed design approach to the local street scale. It deals with issues of aesthetics, local level legibility, design motifs, distinctiveness and character, microclimate, parking and access, public and private space definition, building types and the provision of hard and soft landscape elements. The module deals with the detail of urban design through the elaboration of a case masterplan and the formulation of a design code for the site.
