The aim of this module is to provide you with a basic introduction to teaching in preparation for your teaching placement. You will learn about the roles and responsibilities of teachers, how to plan lessons, teach them and assess students' learning. Later the module develops more depth to these topics and builds on this introduction by looking more closely at different aspects of planning learning, initial and diagnostic assessment of learners, using resources effectively and the successful delivery of inclusive learning and teaching. The complete module offers you an introduction to the knowledge, skills and qualities required of teachers and provides opportunities for you to begin to develop some basic teaching skills.
