Browse Hierarchy BIOS7002: Genome Science

This module will help you develop an understanding of genome science (genomics) and looks at the structure, content and evolution of genomes. The genomes and genome projects of model representative organisms from the mammals, fungi, insects, plants, bacteria and viruses are studied and their unique features explored. The experimental techniques and evidence that has contributed to our developing understanding of genomes will be emphasised. The practical element of this module will be a bioinformatics workshop.
