Browse Hierarchy INSE5005: Academic English for Business Purposes

This module is designed for international and EU students studying business and business related subjects. The module aims to improve academic English in a business context and develops language competence in academic discourse, functions, grammar and lexis. The module will help students perform the assessment tasks required in their undergraduate stage 2 programme in the field of Business, such as essays, reports, synoptics and dissertations, as well as participating in seminars and giving presentations. While equipping the student for their studies, the module also aims to link the academic to the professional by reflecting on the skills and attributes gained from the module and integrating this into their personal development portfolio.
