This module explores the themes of conflict and co-operation between nations. The module will touch on international relations theory and will deal with specific examples of 20th century large-scale conflicts, such as WWI and WWII, and regional conflicts in the Middle East, the Balkans, Africa and Asia. Examples of co-operation based on security, trade and political alignment will also be covered.
