Browse Hierarchy HESC5011: Research Awareness and Critical Appraisal

The main objectives of the module are to develop understanding of the concept of using evidence in professional practice and to develop the skills of appraising and evaluating the quality of the literature using literature evaluation models. In this module we will develop library skills, especially searching Google scholar and health and social databases, locate appropriate evidence, evaluate the evidence, develop critical thinking skills and introduction to qualitative and quantitative research methods.
