This module enables students to develop skills in research and academic writing at a university level, focusing on the discipline of film studies. Through the study of the crime genre, this module develops the student's ability not only to think critically and analytically, but to articulate those thoughts in the form of coherent arguments which are well supported with relevant evidence. Through a series of research and writing based assessments, presentations, and in-class exercises this module develops the skills necessary to develop as a film scholar.
