Browse Hierarchy FILM4001: TF1: Framing Film Analysis

This module is designed to introduce students to key issues and critical concepts in film studies. Through a series of lectures, seminars and close readings of selected films students will acquire the analytical tools for understanding the visual language of film. The module focuses in particular on aspects such as editing, cinematography, sound, film technology and film style. In addition it provides students with a basic understanding of critical approaches and the debates that surround them.
