Browse Hierarchy ESTM5007: Landlord and Tenant Law

This module provides a study of the common law and statutory provisions governing the relationship between a landlord and tenant. This module builds on legal studies completed in Stage I and Stage II. Students will study the principal statutes affecting business leases and the case law which interprets the statutory provisions. They will consider the differing requirements of landlords and tenants and learn to advise on lease contents accordingly.
