Browse Hierarchy ENGR7013: Advanced Mechanical Engineering Design I

This module consolidates and refines students ability to tackle advanced and complex interdisciplinary design projects based on the principle of "Theory of Inventive Problem Solving" or known as the TRIZ principle. Students are expected to progress by means of problem based learning exercises and using their own initiative and making use of their existing extensive knowledge learnt at degree level. Students will work in small groups to improve an aspect of a design, such as Heat Exchanger based on the TRIZ principle. The students will report the findings underpinned by means of critical analysis using TRIZ principles.
