Browse Hierarchy ENGR7008: Laptime Simulation and Race Engineering

This module extends the knowledge gained during a BEng. Degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering and deals with advanced with more advanced vehicle performance subjects, including lap-time simulation, data acquisition, instrumentation and telemetry. Students will learn to asses the performance of racing cars, develop strategies to race engineer them and determine their ultimate performance using lap-time simulation. They will learn to develop a range of computer based simulations such as Lap-Sim and ADAMs together with the theoretical basis upon which such packages operate.
