Browse Hierarchy ENGR6010: Vehicle Dynamics

This module extends the knowledge gained in U04527 (Automotive Engineering Design & Computer Aided Engineering) and deals with advanced chassis design subjects. Students will be given a thorough understanding of the relevant theoretical and practical considerations associated with the tyres, ride and handling of a vehicle. Students will learn to perform standard design analyses on car such as roll centre analysis, suspension analysis, half and full car analyses, weight transfer and roll effects will be modelled. The analyses will be performed using the ADAMS dynamics analysis package.
