In this module participants will explore a range of theoretical approaches to conceptualising and researching learning. Psychological, sociological, anthropological and philosophical methodologies will be used to analyse the factors influencing learning with respect to formal and informal learning contexts. Course participants will be encouraged to critique selected theoretical approaches and their underpinning assumptions, mediated by their own professional knowledge and experience.
