Browse Hierarchy EDUC7034: Developing Personal Artistic Practice

This programme of study seeks to develop teachers as skilled and reflective artist practitioners and professionals. The programme of study is designed to take participants back into the art studio to foster an environment of extending their own knowledge, skills and understanding of contemporary art practice through a personal practical investigation. Participants will have access to seminars and workshops to extend their subject knowledge as well as contemporary practice at Modern Art Oxford and additional arts organisations in Oxford. Artist teachers will work to a deadline to develop a portfolio of practical contemporary art practice, link this to theory and contextual studies and evaluate how this has impacted on their professional practice through a presentation of ideas.
