The aim of this module is to provide a greater understanding of the formation of child self-identity in the light of issues associated with advantage or disadvantage in the wider society. Good practice in early years' settings has a number of common features. These have a positive impact on young children's learning and development. This module will consider the impact of self-identity on personal learning strategies and how these can be included in quality planning, implementation and assessment. This module will also include the examination of government documentation from the Quality Curriculum Authority (QCA) which is laying the foundation for quality practice in education for the Early Years.
