This module assumes no prior knowledge of Economics and thus introduces students, in the first instance, to the key concepts and principles of Economics. Subsequently it focuses on those topics of Economics that are essential in understanding how businesses function in the international arena and how they interact with the external environment. In particular, it examines strategic pricing-output decisions of a firm in different market structures as well as the characteristics and the institutions of international markets.
