This module provides an introduction to basic quantitative techniques that are relevant to students of Economics, Finance and Business. On completion of the module, students will have competence in the application of basic mathematical techniques to problems in economics, finance and business; an understanding of the basic mathematics of finance and an understanding of the basic techniques of optimization in the context of economics, finance and business.
