This module has been designed to enable students to gain recognition and academic credit for learning gained through their professional practice or employment. It represents an ideal opportunity for students who wish to develop their skills in working independently and self directed learning. Work based learning arises from action and problem solving within a working environment. This module may be incorporated into a degree programme, where it is deemed to be acceptable, or it may be undertaken to support the completion of a project relevant to the student's workplace.
