Browse Hierarchy CAMP7010: Advanced Practice

This module builds students' helping skills and knowledge to an advanced level. Students deliver coaching / mentoring to learning volunteers whilst experiencing supervision. Students learn from sharing and reflecting upon peer feedback based on live peer coaching and transcripts of their sessions with volunteer learners. The module explores current issues in the profession such as ethics and diversity. Students plan and reflect on their learning during the module using a system of structured reflection on their own practice. The module culminates in the student formulating and justifying a model that embodies their personal approach to coaching or mentoring.
