The aim of the module is to show how changes in the external environment generate both opportunities and threats to which the organisation must respond. The managerial challenge in strategising is to deliver a sustainable competitive advantage. The module aims to provide students with a foundation for doing this, by ensuring that students understand and engage in critical evaluation of the key strategic discourses and issues.
