Increasingly, businesses have to operate in an environment where commodity and capital markets have either achieved a high degree of integration or are being integrated rapidly. Thus, awareness of the issues surrounding globalisation is almost a pre-requisite for making informed decisions in a business context. This module provides the opportunity to explore and examine the theoretical and empirical framework which enable students to enhance their awareness of the issues of globalisation. Students will also have the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the relevant concept international trade theory and the recent patterns in international trade.
