This module helps students to understand, analyse, evaluate, synthesise and apply concepts and theories to reflective practice when leading and developing others. The module highlights the organisational context within which leadership and development take place. Students will use leadership theory to prepare for and analyse their behaviour when leading others. They will explore coaching and mentoring techniques for developing themselves and others. The module is an advanced level module designed to build upon the second year people modules. It aims to improve students' employability, and to prepare them for the dynamic context in the Leading and Managing Change module at the end of their course
