Master's level students need to develop a skill set that will help them further their scientific careers. Research skills include the practical aspects of doing science such as designing and analysing experiments. Career development encompasses the concepts of doing science - thinking about experiments in contextual terms and being able to possess good scientific skills and will therefore be equipped to do good science. Skills learned in this module will help in development of a research proposal that will form the basis of the students' research project.
