Browse Hierarchy BIOS6004: Infection, Immunity and Immunology

The module will build on knowledge of the response of the immune system to infectious microbial diseases, and examine the interaction of immune effectors with pathogens and host cells and the strategies for immune evasion of pathogens. The module will also consider immune-related diseases such as hypersensitivity, allergy, autoimmunity and immunodeficiencies and will exlore the modern immunodiagnostic techniques used to diagnose these disorders in clinical laboratories.
