Individual work on an appropriate theoretical or practical topic, or set of topics, which may include work-based activities. A learning contract must be developed with an appropriate internal tutor and agreed before formally submitted to the module leader for final approval by the course committee. Tutorials will be appropriate for each individual scheme. Normally 5-10 hours of tutorial supervision will be allotted to each student, to include assistance in generating and agreeing a proposal and learning contract which will form the basis of assessment. Proposals must be approved by the module leader and relevant course committee in advance of the start of the semester in which the study will be submitted.
