A study of structure and function of prokaryotic and eukaryotic genomes at the molecular level with an overview on the experimental evidence that has contributed to current concepts, models and paradigms and practical experience of key molecular biology laboratory techniques. The module focuses on both biomedical and environmental applications of modern molecular tools, with emphasis on phylogeny to complement U15532 Genetics.
