Each year AAD builds upon past design studio knowledge and achievements by setting an annual theme that informs both Advanced Architectural Design modules and other AAD Modules. The aim of this module is to expand the understanding of Advanced Architectural Design's Annual agenda through the critical study of one's own cultural experience as a research project framework. Three strands of enquiry engaging the annual AAD Agenda will be pursued during this module; 1] the identification and analysis of the possibilities of a real site; 2] the in-depth research into the tectonic possibilities of new materials and; 3] to the analysis of a real site with the aim of generating a series of questions that demand an architectural response. Through this module, each student will have assembled a catalogue of ingredients, both conceptual and material, from which to develop the proposal and design of a personal project [P30052 Advanced Architectural Design Representation and Realisation].
