Browse Hierarchy ARCH6004: Advanced Architectural Technology

A module integrating construction, structures, and environmental science through technological design. This module builds on the principles and concepts introduced in 'Introductory Technology' (U30008) and precedent analysis introduced in 'Architectural Technology and Precedent' (U30020). It provides an opportunity for students to develop strategies for utilising core technical design and graphic skills to create and integrate sustainable structural, environmental, and construction design solutions in the context of the vertical unit comprehensive architectural design project. Being studio based, it allows the design intentions of the project to influence technical resolution, and conversely, technology to inform the development of credible design solutions.
