This module provides a critical understanding of construction, structures, environmental science and sustainable design through the analysis of building precedents chosen to inform design studio projects in parallel modules of the programme. It is intended to establish an appreciation of building performance and the application of previously taught technology concepts and principles in practice in order to prepare students for the application of these in their own design work in subsequent technology modules.
