The objective of this module is to develop a critical stance in investigating contemporary accounting practices and issues. It draws upon the knowledge of accounting theory and practices, studied in previous financial and management accounting modules. To provide an informed and critical perspective, students are expected to independently research from a range of sources including journal articles, newpapers and internet sites. Students will be expected to develop depth of thought and evaluate practical applicability through literature reviews and case study analysis.
