Browse Hierarchy ACFI4006: Raising Individual Financial Awareness

This module aims to raise student awareness of the financial aspects of modern society and to help students understand personal finance issues. The basic principles of saving and investment are developed, in conjunction with consideration of investment in property. Income tax, National Insurance , pension provision and the importance of making a will are all considered. No prior financial knowledge is required as the role of the Inland Revenue, Banks, Building Societies, Life Assurance Companies, the Stock Exchange and other financial institutions are explored along the way.
